boneset, is usful for many forms of healing, but not bones oddly... beyond that, that's what I have books for.
Sing of Hephaestus famed for inventions. With bright-eyed Athene he taught men glorious crafts throughout the world, Men who before used to dwell caves in the mountains like wild beasts. But now that they have learned crafts through Hephaestus the famed worker, Easily they live a peaceful life in their own houses the whole year round. Be gracious Hephaestus, and grant me success and prosperity!

I believe Boneset got its name because it helped treat "breakbone fever" aka dengue fever. Eupatorium perfoliatum is an excellent treatment for influenza (though I'd go with my Elderberry Elixir first!), it helps somewhat with arthritis, intestinal worms, malaria and even diarrhea.
I've heard that in the old days just about every farmhouse had Boneset growing somewhere, and a few bunches drying in the barn for cold and flu season. It doesn't taste too bad at all and is pretty easy to find, so inexpensive if you don't wildcraft yourself.

Bug - thanks for the info on Paul's herbalism course! I did not know it even existed and if anyone is going to get me going on this kind of work it will be him. His The Master Book of Herbalism is pretty much a classic along side Cunningham's books.

Part of my High-Priest work in my coven is to embark on a year-long study of an Advanced Magical Practice each year - I think this might be next year's work for me. THis year is all about the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo and Rootwork class!

May i heartily suggest A Compendium of Herbal Magick by Paul Beyerl. It's far more seriously researched than Cunningham's classic. Perhaps I'm biased as a big Beyerl fan, but if you check the book out, I think you'll agree. It's really well researched and incredibly detailed. If you're looking for herbs religious or magickal, this is an excellent sourcebook.

Oh herbalism is my passion. I'm compiling a botanical correspondence from an old portfolio of mine. Using the big pages for full spreads of pressed and dried plants. It's coming quite along. I'd love to add to any plant questions, as well as receive new information about plants I do not know. Lately I've been working with Nigella and Thistle. Got some beautiful pressed examples.

Hey honeyflower sounds like a brilliant approach. I'd been looking out for a cheap acetate machine I could press sample flowers and herbs I collect into with labels and such. I might forego the hassle and keep things simple like your good self and just get a photo album and press them there.
