I'd like to offer the first prayer on the newly updated forum to Satyr, who's been having a tough personal time of it lately and I'd like to thank him for his tireless work on the forums and wish him and his family well.

I want to thank you again for your thoughts & energies during this time in my life. (as well as everyone else) who's sent any. A lot is on my plate right now, but I'm enduring, & coping with the declining health & almost death of my father. He's not out of the woods & will most likley pass on.

He's had congestive heart failure, they took 2 liters of fluid out of his chest , has blood clots in his lungs. Is/was suffering from DT'S (Delirium tremens) from the not drinking, had double pneumonia all on top of C.O.P.D. & Emphysema. He is no longer on life support & is breathing on his own but he is not very coherent, & makes little sense thinking he's trapped in a bed somewhere in a store (they have to strap him down & give him feeding tubes because he can not swallow) & he's ripped them out while restrained on several occasions.

Only 10 % of his heart is working now, & if he does live he'll need to be moved to a nursing home as my mother wont be able to take care of him. Honestly, as cruel as it sounds & as hard as it may be, I hope that after I go to say my goodbye that he passes on. He's a very hot tempered & nasty bugger to say the least & he'd certainly be abused by staff. So I thank you all in advance if I seem slow to reply. Though I'll do my best to keep replies within same day to a few days delay at most.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this community grow & expand! I'll try to get the new site features out VERY soon!

Thank you for your well wishes Faune! While it's certainly challenging to say the least, it's opening me up to create & accept a 'domino affect' of changes in my life. Of the very few words of wisdom my father's imparted upon me in my life he always said 'Nothing comes easy. You have to work for it. An apple doesn't just fall off a tree, you have to climb up there & pick it.' Now more than ever I am climbing towards my destiny & I feel so close that I can almost taste the apple.

knowing that you will emerge from this a stronger person, and in your own personal priesting will be so much better able to help others through experiences like your own. just keep that positive attitude going, remember to take care of yourself as much as you are able.

when the time comes, take the time for silence and grieving. know also that you are supported and care for.

Hey guys some members may be unaware but today (Weds 24, 2010) Saytr's father finally passed away after a heartbreaking battle in hospital. He was on life support for quite a while and it has been a very up and down period for Saytr and his family.

I would like to invite members of the forum to share in the lighting of candles to mark our brother's loss or share in a silent prayer.

Saytr, with love and blessings. To Saytr's father I offer blessings upon your journey as it takes a direction we cannot as yet follow.

I wish you peace Satyr and the time to deal with your grieving as you may need. I know well what having a father who is "difficult" can be, as well as seeing a parent slide into darkness. You have positive energy coming your way as well as my love and friendship, albeit somewhat late. Be blessed, Satyr.

Hey guys, speaking to Saytr via email and he wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes and support. He's staying with family for a time before returning and as such he doesn't have the same level of access as before.
