| Hello and greetings brothers in the craft.
A first post to say hello and give a small amount of background.
I live in teh very magical country of Kernow, I am a Reiki Master as well as being very interested in the 'Old Ways' (that is the craft pre Gardnerian era). I have interests in pathworks, natural power, and the elemental aspects of life.
It would be good to meet (and chat) with other interested guys who can understand the power behind the power so to speak.
A quick question to help me - looking at the great rite, can a male/male combination work (even if one party has high feminine nature)?

hello Night Stag!
I for one both LOVE and HATE that question. over and over again people (usually women) come up to our Men's circle group and ask how we manage to balance the male/female energy the right way in a men-only circle. they get all huffy and say it just can't work, and then waddle off to their Dianic womyn-only space. and i just have to laugh!
they can have a male/female balance with women-only, but us guys can't? WTF?
so - here we go - we ALL have BOTH natures within us at all times. that is the great yin/yang zen circle in the sky. some of hide one nature better than the other, but we are all things in one. we all create, we all destroy. in fact, according to a lot of older stories, we as gay people have a better contact with our "other" than the rest of the world. i know of at least one coven in my area that has a male high-priestess.
great rite - sure it works with boy-boy. and it works with girl-girl and even (shudder) mixed-sex couples as well.

Seconding Greywolf, yes same sex great rites are possible, as we are all both innately malefemale energywise, just some are more balanced between the two than others, I'd say. I was actually working on a same sex great rite for men, and one for women some time ago. Maybe I should get back on the train!
